Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Review the journal's collection and if possible, cite any of the works previously published in the journal.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The files to be sent are three: the first contains the authors' data, the second is the detailed manuscript of the article, and the third is the copyright and originality letter. All of them are in Microsoft Word format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 spaced; it uses a 12-point font size as a general body document in Times New Roman; DOIs are assigned to references, where possible; all illustrations, figures, and tables are well numbered and placed.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Verify the ID main data such as the corresponding author name, name authors, ORCID, institution name , institutional email

Author Guidelines

  1. Exclusivity: For manuscript submission, all scientific articles must be original and unpublished works and must not be under consideration for publication simultaneously in other journals or publishing houses, either in Spanish or in any other language. Any legal, moral, ethical, etc. conflict that may arise will be the authors' full responsibility, exempting the journal Scientia et PRAXIS and AMIDI.
  2. Originality from the transdisciplinary and sustainable innovation point of view: All works must be results or advances of original and high-level research, where at least two disciplines (transdisciplinary) oriented towards sustainable innovation are discussed.
  3. Scientia et PRAXIS publishes articles preferably in English and Spanish.
  4. Before being sent to the evaluators, the work will be submitted to anti-plagiarism software (iThenticate) that detects the levels of similarity; If it exceeds more than 20%, the article will be rejected.
  5. Ethics: it will be the authors' responsibility that, both in the research process and in the submission of their work, the ethical codes of their respective institutions have been respected, as well as the universally accepted legal and ethical norms for working with human beings , animals, and the environment. Scientia et PRAXIS adheres to the declaration of international ethical standards for authors and publishers adopted at the Second World Conference on Research Integrity held in Singapore in 2010 by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). By submitting the article, the author is expressing his consent and agreement with the ethical guidelines indicated in the conference documents. Scientia et PRAXIS reserves the right to take the measures it deems appropriate when it detects inappropriate conduct in the behavior of both authors and referees.
  6. The Authors retain copyright to their articles without restriction.
  7. Scientia et PRAXIS is an open-access journal, meaning that all content is freely available to the user or his/her institution without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking the publisher's or the author's prior permission.
  8. There are three files to be sent: the first contains the authors' data, the second is the detailed manuscript of the article, and the third is the author's license and originality letter. All of them are in Microsoft Word files.

The text is presented in a pre-layout that is detailed in the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SmVLHVJv_xGe9qv5hR7eCPKihQlctzjl/edit. first page must include  a) the title of the article (<=15 words), b) the name of the author(s) with an academic title (at least one of the authors with a doctoral degree), c) ORCID (mandatory),  d) institution where authors are affiliated, e)  the corresponding author, f) email from the institution y  g) funding (if it is the case)

  10. Photographs must be submitted in a separate file, in .JPG or .PNG format, 300 dpi resolution.
  11. The article must be between 15 and 25 double-spaced pages. 9000 words maximum, including the references. Hence we have abstract/resumen (250/250 words), introduction (500), context (1000), literature review (1200), methodology and materials  (1000), results (1500), discussion (2000), conclusion (300) and references (1000).
  12. Abstracts must have: context, purpose, problem, methodology, theoretical and practical findings, transdisciplinary and sustainable innovation originality in the transdisciplinary sustainable innovation, conclusions, and limitations.
  13. The article must include between three and five keywords, separated with ",". Places or locations must not be listed as keywords.
  14. The article contains the title, abstract, and keywords translated into Spanish.
  15. Citations and references must meet the criteria established in this journal’s standards for authors based on APA-7, and save the suggested format in a Word electronic file (annex) with the illustrations, tables, maps, and graphs with their respective numbering and title within the file as clear and precise originals. They must be mentioned within the body of the article, including the source, and be placed immediately within the document, appropriately for its presentation. DO NOT PLACE THEM AT THE END OF THE WORK.
  16. 80% of the references must be 5-10 years old. It must be provided the DOI references. If it is not possible, provide the URLs address' (hyperlinks must work properly and contain the cited information)
  17. Read and accept the responsibilities of the authors that guarantee the ethical principles of scientific publication
  18. I declare, as the person responsible for the submission, that this document has no more authors than those indicated (no more names will be added in the editing process)
  19. IMPORTANT NOTE: EDITORIAL DIAGNOSIS is answered in less than one week. Please regularly check your SPAM inbox since the response from Scientia et PRAXIS typically arrives there.
  20. It is important to cite at least 2 works from the Scientia et PRAXIS (https://scientiaetpraxis.amidi.mx/index.php/sp/issue/archive) collection and the AMIDI.Biblioteca (https://www.amidibiblioteca.amidi.mx/index.php/AB/Indexacionesdelabiblioteca).
  21. Conditions of freedom of edition: the articles to be reviewed, due to their scientific nature, must be unrelated to gender orientations or discrimination, which may be political, institutional, or group interests unrelated to the original objective of the same, in such a way that so that there is no greater censorship than that derived from the rigorous opinion process. Therefore, the contents of the articles will be the responsibility of the authors and once they are published, the considerations to them will be turned over to the authors so that they resolve possible controversies regarding their works.

Scientific Articles

Registration and login are required to submit items online and check the status of recent submissions. As part of the submission process, authors are required to check that their submission meets all the elements shown below. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be rejected:

Before being sent to the evaluators, the articles will be submitted to anti-plagiarism software (iThenticate) that detects the levels of similarity; If it exceeds more than 10%, the article will be rejected.
  3. Ethics: It will be the authors' responsibility that both the research process and the submission of their work, the ethical codes of their respective institutions have been respected, and the universally accepted legal and ethical standards for work with human beings, animals, and the environment.   6. The author(s) retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions, according to the Creative  Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC-BY-NC).
  7. Scientia et PRAXIS publishes articles preferably in English as well as in Spanish.
  8. Given the scientific nature of the journal, it is required that 90% of the references must be in the range of 5 to 10 years old. All references must show the corresponding

Conditions of freedom editing: the articles to be reviewed, due to their scientific nature, must be free from gender orientations, discrimination, which may occur of a political, institutional, or group interest outside the original objective of the same, in such a way that there is no greater censorship than that derived from the rigorous opinion process. Therefore, the contents of the articles will be the authors' responsibility. Once they are published, the considerations to them will be turned over to the authors so that they resolve possible controversies regarding their works.
  11. Total or partial reproduction is authorized as long as the source is cited.

Scientific Articles. Special Edition

Co-published scientific articles are carried out under prior quotation of the number. This co-edition encourages those interested
 to write on a particular topic convened by the Editorial Board of Scientia et PRAXIS. Registration and login are required to submit 
items online and check the status of recent submissions.
