Inclusive Business in Green House: Intervention of the CPI in the Social Value Chain

Purpose. The purpose was to demonstrate the intervention of a CPI, the CIAD AC, in the formation of Inclusive Businesses (NI) in the value chain of Mexican tomato for export in green house. Methodology. Through a transdisciplinary approach between: economics, food technology and psychology, a review of the NI concept was made, highlighting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). An overview of the value chain was exhibited. Three elements where the CPI intervened were exposed: Conformation of the National Tomato Product System (SPTN) and collective brand as the organizational axis of the stakeholders. Training in good post-harvest handling practices. Objective and subjective evaluation of well-being in day laborers.
Findings. The companies of the analyzed value chain involve the base of the pyramid as part of the workforce. In addition, they have organizational flexibility to adapt their processes to the needs of the export market.
Originality. It has a transdisciplinary approach to address NI and CSR from a value chain.
Theoretical and practical contributions: Theoretically, it proposes three categories that connect the NI and CSR constructs: collective brand, training, and work stress fatigue. In practice, it proposes a business strategy based on a collective brand adapted to NI.
